so scared
Just a thought from a lifelong struggler, but saying that one 'loves wine but hate what it's doing to me' hits the nail on the head I think. At some point you might consider thinking of wine as an enemy out to get you, rather than a friend you have to give up.

Hello, Dor!
As already stated by other posters, consulting your doctor will be the best action to take. Also, it is well documented that fatty liver is the first step toward liver disease, so if you don't quit drinking, you run the risk of gradually developing some major health issues. It's amazing how well the body can recover with abstinence, time, and healthy living. If you are concerned about withdrawal, medical consultation can also help you find a good detox plan.
Wishing you well and glad you are here! This is a supportive community.

For me my withdrawals were insomnia, night sweats, crazy dreams, terrible anxiety attacks, some left me completely crippled full body shakes, muscles giving up basically, throat felt like it didn't work, couldn't speak and felt like I may loose control of my bladder and bowels... Yeesh.. And hand shakes.. But I'm now on day 4 and I haven't had almost any of those at all... I haven't taken any of my diazepam, no shakes.. My complexion even looks better. It gets easier... This is the longest I've gone and I hardly even have cravings over the last few days either...
