Day 11 and feeling sick again
Day 11 and feeling sick again
I felt great yesterday, and the few days before. Looked good too thanks to hydration--actually got a few compliments! Went to kids games, practices, etc. -- busy day yesterday.
Woke up today Day 11 with more intestinal issues and a general lack of energy. Laying in bed ALL day with no desire to get up. This happened on Day 7 too, but Day 7 was WAY worse with fever/chills, etc.
Is this my body still mending/recovery? If so, why did I feel so good yesterday, and the few days before? And yet today is way different?
Any and all feedback appreciated.

theres been quite a bit of cold and flu going around, suzie. maybe ya got a bit of a bug?
i got what i thought was the flu monday after thanksgiving. only a couple days of feelin rough. then a week later a horrible cold. got over that after about 2 weeks, then hit with the flu BAD. felt great monday evening, then tuesday morning about 2am i was runnin for the bathroom.
it could still be yer body getting used to not receiving poison, too.

It can take quite a lot of time for our bodies to recover from being continually poisoned. I would try not to over analyze things too much. Just take it steady and feel great that you are living life without alcohol. You're doing great!
I'm on day 10 and have been struggling with recovery mixed with a heavy cold. Some people seem to feel good within a few days. Last time I went through recovery it took me weeks to feel better and about 3 months to feel really good (so I was an idiot to throw that away after four years and have to go through it all again). As ever, if you are worried then it is worth seeing your doctor, but also it is not unusual to be up and down for a period of weeks (but with more up than down as time progresses).
Well done on your choice!
Well done on your choice!
Thanks to everyone!!
I am feeling better today. Up and out of bed. Hubby is in bed today not feeling well, so maybe it was a flu bug.
Cravings come and go, some stronger than others. I just keep thinking where the first drink leads me, and the feeling in the morning of utter crap, don't want to go there again. Keeping myself busy reading, cleaning, errands, etc.

Suzie,
You have come to the right place w your cravings.
It got easier for me each day. I have had long term anxiety that got better each day. Today it was acting up more than normal.
The wx was crazy, I ate too much salt for lunch, and I worked out a bit hard. So i figure that was why.
Thanks.
