Day 7 and dehydrated

Hi everyone! Feeling pretty great at Day 7. I have been drinking a ton of water. Atleast 80 ounces a day and still, my lips are dry and I feel like I'm retaining water. Is this something everyone experiences? I feel like I can't drink anymore water, literally in the bathroom every 30 minutes.
Sleep has been way better, except waking up for the toilet.

Chif,

Water heals. I vote listen to your body.

It gets better every day.

Read and post a lot.

Thanks.

From my own limited understanding of biology and limited personal experience and this is pretty normal. Alcohol dehydrates you, prolonged dehydration can take a long time to recover from, not unusual for it to take up to a month. When you are drinking you don't notice it so much because of all the other issues and it makes you want to drink more.

Like the other person said listen to your body as long as you are not ingesting big quantities in short periods you are probably ok. Having said all that if you are still worried or if things get worse, go and see your doctor and be honest with them.

Good luck and hang in there, I am three weeks in and still drinking lots if water and peeing like a racehorse too, feel better for it.

Perhaps, especially if you are noticing anything 'different' in the way you feel or how your body is reacting- see a doctor. It may be you need vitamin intake or a different diet. Important to know about with careful planning, not just a kg of multi-v's from the supermarket.

Congratulations on seven days! Don't hesitate to see a doctor if this persists.

I have consumed gallons of water these past few days - it's insane! Tastes a lot better than it used to as well. I can't get enough of the stuff.

Keep on drinking non-caffeinated bevs (they drain that good hydration) and look at your eating- fruit and other foods with high water content can help hydrate you too.

It's best to drink fluids until your pee is a very light yellow to know you're hydrating properly. You can actually overhydrate which causes electrolyte loss.
