I promised to my wife, kids, and most importantly to myself that I would make some changes after being rushed to the hospital and going through detox. I'm happy to say that I'm registered for IOP. Everything is in place, including insurance. The earliest they could get me in is about a week and a half from now. I wish it was sooner, but I'll take what I can get at this point.

It feels odd to say, but I'm actually excited to get some real help for a significant lifestyle change. I wasn't able to do it on my own. I'm really ready for this and looking forward to it!
