Welcome, Rachel! I'm glad you found SR. It's a great place to help with recovery. You will find a lot of good advice and support here from people who know what it's like.

We have one of these Weekender threads every week and the discussions are sometimes wide-ranging, but the core is helping each other stay sober throughout the weekend (for many it's the most difficult part of the week to do that) along with small-talk about how we are living our sober lives.

I'm sorry you're drinking again SAH.

I know you're embarrassed to go back to AA and I know rehab is not viable for you - I'm not going to rehash those options - it's your choice and it's your recovery not mine...

but I really hope you decide to do something different this week - why not commit to putting the drink down now and making a really strong plan for next weekend - once you get one sober weekend down hopefully it will be a little easier?
