Back again after two years...
Hey everyone,
I first joined here in September 2014 and found the site and it was a great help and very supportive from other members.
However, after five months dry, I started binge drinking again. My mental health, motivation and physical health have now come to a point where I need to turn it round.
Tonight, after work, I bought a bottle of wine. Opened it and poured a glass. I then thought to myself "do I really need or want this?". I poured it down the sink.
I've had a nice night reading and thinking ahead to the future. A future without alcohol.
Happy to be back...

You everyone
I might not "go nuts" with my lifestyle changes this time. Last time I quit, I immediately started at the gym, lost 2st, went on high protein low carb diet.
I had a few nights out and the whole thing fell like a badly built house. I went too quickly...From in A&E in September 2014 to obsessing over getting the perfect lean body in December.
Also I'll post here every day too. That might help.
Sober: Day #4

Sober: Day #4
Welcome back. I think it's a good idea not to "go nuts" with lifestyle changes in early days. When I quit, I made sobriety my number one priority, and started making other lifestyle changes gradually, even though it was tempting to change everything. Trying to do too much all at once can take the focus off what should be your main work - staying sober. Just my two cents.
