Welcome circlewagons,
One of the absolute best things you can do for yourself is to get to an AA meeting. Posting and reading here at SR is a good step but I don't think anything is as good as face to face interaction.
I take my own advice. I have to get off this computer and get ready to go to a 9am AA meeting. Today is a federal holiday in the USA as is my practice, I go to this particular meeting whenever my schedule allows.
If you can, please raise your hand when they ask for newcomers.
