My promise
Never again will I promise that my drinking days are over. That is a promise I've sworn to and broke so many times it has lost all credibility.
What I will promise is to do what I need to do on a daily basis to maintain my sobriety. I will promise to work at becoming a better person. I will promise to put absolutely nothing ahead of my sobriety. I promise to never underestimate the power of my addiction.
I promise that I will do all these things each and every day for as long as God sees fit to keep me on this earth.
