8 Days in and Im done

With the "serial quitting"! Id quit for days - once to 82 days...THIS TIME is the one.
The other quits were dress rehearsals.. a
When your resolve looks DOWN to alcohol and says Bye Bye- there's the door....then staying sober / quit becomes nearly effortless. (as opposed to using all "my might" to stand up against a massive foe)

Im REALLY enjoying this new found clarity, calm, dull sense of freedom thats growing.
A made up mind is the key-
Merry Christmas !!!

That is great, livingnow! As you likely know, your chances for a successful sobriety are much increased when you work a program. Dee's stickie about recovery plans is very informative in that regard. Peace.

Glad you are doing well Living Now! I felt like you in January 1st of this year, I was done, had decided the night before. I am very happy to still be sober, and close to the one year mark.

congrats livingnow! Lots of people consider themselves self-recovered...meaning without a formal program. You can certainly live free by your own choice in ending your addiction. Lots of us have.

Feels good, doesn't it?

Awareness, motivation, commitment - check.
Honesty, drive, sober- in place.
Countdown, lift off happening. Safe launch.
Perhaps SR- is your mission/ground control, your 'program'. Will be here like every one else. Keep sharing. The destination is life, the journey is what counts. With support and prayers to you.PJ

Yes, when you decide that alcohol is no longer an option, ever, your mind will start to work in more healthy ways.
