Ready for the holidays?
Well I don't know if I'm like many of you but my holiday is predictable. On set of relatives for Christmas eave, another for Christmas Day and then the party relatives for Christmas night. But I'm good and I know I will be fine because I'm all ready planning it in my mind. The reasons I will give for not drinking. My favorite non alcoholic beverage ready to go. If need be a place near by to get away for a few minutes if it gets to tough. I'm not scared though, I feel confident because I have a plan and I'm thinking ahead. SR has taught me to stay out in front of my AV. You guys ready?
Great Matt. A good one is to keep a glass half way full/empty. That way people will not insist on giving me more 'cos it's Xmas and 'one will not hurt'.
I have a plan In a recovery place (family disowned me- best thing for them) so since I am in the CBD where the fireworks, everything opening- I am staying put. Not going out looking for risky situations. The festive time attracts the nice happy days families and the nice couples with their dogs. It also draws in the crazies. Also to eat well, not just really cold coke or coffee- water as well. Movies to carry away the overnight bit. I wish you well. Family do's can be a double edged sword. PJ
