I feel relly GOOD about myself!!

I just went to the store, after dinner, (LIKE DROVE MY CAR ) walked around the grocery store (smiling) bought a few 2 liter bottles of diet Soda and came home. Im now sipping some nice soda posting.
Its silly that this feels sooo good- but it DOES. After YEARS of wasted this is great- I see a bright future in store and I LIKE how it feels.
This is day 3

That's awesome! Keep it going!

Have you thought about joining in on the Class of December newcomers' thread? All you have to do is post in there, and you'll have an instant support group that is in the same spot.

I love the feeling of knowing I can go out at night instead of being trapped in my house every night because I was drunk.

omg lol I felt this way too, and still do. It's like I'm free to do anything I want to!! Years ago, when I quit, my boys were younger. It would be 10:30/11:00 at night and we'd go for ice cream...just because! Just because mommy wasn't too drunk or passed out. The freedom is hard to describe!

This is great. The idea that we are no longer prisoners to the drink, had to get home to drink so I had to stay home, hoped no one would come over except those that drank silly with me. This is so much better. So so much better

Well, I've enjoyed this feeling of freedom for 10 years now. The feeling I get from my commitment to abstinence is not something I fear.
