Hi everyone taking my 6 year old skiing today here in California. It's his first time. 5 days sober, my buddy I met up here has a bunch of beer (he's doesn't know my situation as of yet) but I am ok not touching it. Trying to erase the guilt of my family- feeling guilt and shame has to be the worst feeling in the world. Hope you all have a great day...

Well it was a good day all in all. My buddy and I went into the bar late morning to take a breather. They had my favorite beer on tap but I resisted. It was pretty tough I have to admit. He had a couple drinks and we just talked. On the way home in the traffic coming down the mountain my little boy said daddy, I really have to go to the bathroom and it was like 20 degrees outside. Amazingly as we came around the corner in what otherwise was a remote area was a restaurant. We pulled to the side and I went to let him in. What's funny is I am a firm believer in not using a restaurant (esp. a small family owned one) for the restroom then walking out. Because the traffic was so high I decided to sit down and thought "well we could just order a soda or something, maybe some small to eat, let the traffic die down". I said to myself I could totally have one beer here. The waitress took so long to get to us we got up and walked out. Was it a sign? I have no idea...
