30 days
I got my 30 day chip this morning. It took me a long time to get 30 days again. I relapsed off 4 1/2 months on Aug. 7th and kept attempting to get sober again. I would go a couple days and then drink. Once I even got to 21 day and decided to drink. So finally making it to 30 days is a big deal for me and I hope I can stay sober this time around.
My sobriety date is November 18th 2016. I got sober a week before Thanksgiving. I didn't go home for Thanksgiving. Instead I spent the day with sober friends. It was less stressful that way. We went to a gratitude meeting and then to Denny's. I have a new sponsor this time around. She is really nice and seems to be very knowledgeable about the big book ect. But she's extremely busy. I thought it was weird that I got 30 days without even working the 1st step. But I left the decision about when we would start the steps up to my sponsor because I know its the holidays and she has a lot going on. We are going to meet up on Friday after the morning meeting to get started on step work.
My best sober friend is going to move in with me in February to be my new roommate and im really excited about that! I think it will be so much fun and also help me stay sober and on the right track.
And I got accepted back into the University of North Florida so I will be taking a class in the Spring. I only need 7 more classes to graduate with my B.A. so I'd like to be able to finish my degree by the end of 2017.
I have a feeling 2017 is going to be a really good year. I'm excited about what is to come and grateful that I'm sober today.

Great Job! Keep it up! What is helping me is that have accepted that at times I will want to drink...that my cravings to have a drink might be strong....that I might be bored for a few hours...or more isolated as opposed to sitting in a bar somewhere. But those moments are temporary and they pass!
It is much better to wake up and look forward to what the day might bring as opposed to being exhausted, hung over, and miserable.
Good Luck!

Great job! I like hearing your plan. You seem to feel like you have a good sponsor so my suggestion based on what I have done is to do what she tells you (even when you don't understand or kinda dislike it!). You can do this!
