I'm pretty new here too, just nearing a month now. I've found so much, kindess, knowledge, and encouragement here. Everyone's advice and stories of recovery gave me the courage to get clean. (I'm an alcoholic but my most recent active addiction is opiates) Keep reading and posting and you will have many more sober weeks to come!

Welcome ThreeBoxes. I'm curious, why did you wait 7 days before you posted? I ask because I waited until day 7 also, I think I needed to prove to myself that it was real before making the pronouncement (And hence the commitment).
