yummy sounding food

I had frozen curry in the freezer so had some of that , just what you want with a cold a really strong curry .. i make it in a big batch and freeze it in tupperware pots, always nice to have something wholesome and tasty, it's also a useful way of using up odds and ends of veg / pulses or meat .

still suffering from the cold . listening to Iain Lee on talkradio uk which is entertaining without banging on about all the worrisome things going on in the world .

Bestwishes, m

I'm all in for a sober weekend. Looking forward to feeling better with some rest and plenty of fluids. Then I need to revamp my plan.

Welcome to Weekenders December2016 and SoberLifeForMe

Good to see you Conquest and you Soberandhealthy.

I'm in a taxi right now, another firms Xmas party successfully negotiated sober. A bit of age and experience was handy as I turned down the Won Ton soup, it is delicious but those Won Tons are splashy! I started off drinking "cherry infused" Dr Pepper which was excellent to start with but too sickly to drink all night, reverted to tonic water & lime. I enjoyed it more this year and managed to stay until just gone midnight. Most of the younger people will doubtless be there still and definitely the worse for wear

Glad you had a good time sao! Isn't it nice to leave the same person you came as?

Ken, I see you poking around in here, how are you doing? Pretty cold today wasn't it? My pipes froze, no hot shower for me this morning.

Good to see all the new people in here.

Ruby, I've done that! Slacked off in the morning forgetting things and then had to hurry to get it all done. Ugh.

Have a great night everyone. I am finally at 3K (posts that is, not days :P )

I cave in today they were having wine o'clock at 4at my job today and of course I could not resist. It goes beyond telling that everyone left together and left me alone. I'm I mean drunk and a lier and told one girl she probably will be ruining a human being if she had a child and said I live in a 700,000.00 apartment that I own which is completely I lie that they can check if they google my address to be a complete lie. My apartment is a dumpster not worthy even 100,000.00.
So there is an stressing because they could. Find my lie and also because they don't like me because I'm an *******.

Sometimes I wonder is my problem alcohol or I am just a ****** person. Again sadness selfloding and desperation but hey I had my wine. Cause nobody else will have me

I'm sorry to read that Sah, is 4pm your finish time? I ask because if it is I would just go home as soon as people start drinking.

It is hard to take that first step and change habits but it makes not drinking a whole lot easier.

These things are so much harder to do in the head than they are in real life which holds a lot of us back. Don't let this ruin your weekend Sah

Sao I hate myself because who I am sober is not near who I am drunk. Being mean lying like that I'm a fool and no my finish time is 530 but my office drink a lot I work on environment where drinking is the thing they do it every day.

I understand about saying stuff you regret Sah, I would bet that every single person on this thread have said things when drinking that they later regret, I have, many times. Try hating the addiction instead of hating yourself

Next time maybe you could try and find something to keep yourself busy for that last 90 minutes

I just got back from a night out with the girls from work. A few years ago I would have been delighted to go out with colleagues. I spent months hoping for a life of my own. Now I have it kind of. I know I am well thought of among my co-workers. There's something bothering me though
