10 month check in

Hey all! Just posting to say hello and share my thoughts at 10 months

I am a mere 10 months without the sauce and life is moving along well! I realize that life has ups and downs for everyone. Its universal. Dealing with your ups and downs in a healthy sober mind frame certainly helps! I realize that the bottle reallllllly hides your minds ability to actually deal with anything. Booze used to pause everything for me...but I found myself only ever wanting to pause life.

I am proud to say I dont even count my sober days anymore. I dont really think about the bottle. What little it does to your anxiety and mood for a couple hours PALES in comparison to how good I feel when I wake up in the morning looking and feeling exactly the way i want to.

I used to always decide to quit tomorrow. Tomorrow isnt here yet..who knows about tomorrow. Tomorrow doesnt exist. Do not rely on something that doesn't exist! When you are ready..Truly ready..You will decide that today is the day you want to win. Dont let this days challenge beat you!

Ok enough rambling! Love and peace to you all and keep up the good fight..

In good health!

My famous last words.

I used to always have a plan date in the future to quit drinking.

After the summer is over. New Years Day. When I turn 40. When I turn 50.
Never happened.

I quit 10/24/2016. No significance about that date...it is just when I finally got fed up with being an active alcoholic.

Oh and good job.
