Personality Hi all, This has happened to me a few times since I got sober. People that I've known for years, have talked with me and asked if I was ok. I couldn't figure it out, I feel great, why would they ask? Today it hit me very few people in my life knew me sober, they thought the loud, joker, D-bag, in the bar was my real personality. They don't know the real me, my wife and kids, have seen the real me when I was sober, but most people in the outside world have only seen the buzzed or drunk me. I'm not talking about just people I drank with, just people around town or old school friends. I almost feel like I should reintroduce myself. Anyway, I'm doing well closing in on 90 days :-) Hope everyone out there is doing well, and keeping strong. Sober me is so much better. |
Congratulations on almost 90 days! I know I felt like I had to get to know myself again when I began recovery. It's an interesting journey, isn't it! |
