Husband Hungover This AM

After coming in late last night from a work dinner where wine was served.

He sauntered in holding a box of La Croix for me and a six pack of IPAs for himself - you know, to keep that high going.

He tried to talk to me about the conversations he had with a consultant at the dinner, but I wasn't interested to follow tipsy ramblings so I kind of ignored him.

This morning I heard him opening the bottle of ibuprofen while moaning and I felt so incredibly grateful and glad not to feel that way.

Yes, the "high" is short lived, but not the misery.

thats the key

i was taught in meetings to focus on the gratitude

it will help dissolve the resentments which are my #1 offender

Good for you on not joining in on the "party."

He was sauntering last night, and shuffling this morning. Sounds about right.

boy I don't miss those days. I feel badly for him. Maybe over time, his observations of you and the ways your life is improving will help him see another way....
