Congratulations on 8 days!

I doubt the fever has to do with it. A fever is your body trying to fight off a viral or bacterial infection.

I could be wrong of course, but I'm guessing you're sick with a cold or the flu or something.

Google: Alcohol Detox Timeline
There is alot of information about what to expect at certain times and stages of withdrawl.
Hope you find your answer.

It could be a variety of things, as the others have pointed out.

I'd celebrate my 8 days sober by thinking of this as your body's(?) expression of gratitude to do it's job alcohol free.

My body sure proved it's resilience by rewarding me as we recovered in tandem!

Keep going, it works!

It's always a good idea to check with your dr if you're concerned about alcohol withdrawals.

The body is going to take time to adjust and heal, physically, mentally and emotionally.

For me in the first few weeks I didn't feel the best, there was lack of sleep in there also, restlessness, eating habits were affected, so many factors.

As others have mentioned if it persists, be safe and check in with a Dr!!

For whatever reason I found my immune system weak a few times when quitting in the past. It wasn't weak during the drinking, just for a couple of weeks after. Just more susceptible to colds and stuff.
