The journey we take
The journey we take
Each is our own. We cannot compare; mine versus hers. Was I 'as bad'? Am I 'that low'? We cannot, yet many of us have tried. What works for him may not work for you. What resonated with her may not have merit for him. We are all different. Yet we are all the same.
We are in relationship with a substance, sometimes many substances, and that relationship has impaired and impacted our lives and those we love. We have learned - or are learning - that relationship no longer serves us. Never really did.
We are the same in another way; we are blessed.
Because in sobriety our lives are rich beyond our dreams.
