new and struggling

I am on day 19 and struggling.. mostly with my spouse who wants me to be sober but doesn't understand the process. he thinks he is helping when really he is just making everyday harder for me. help any advice?

It's common that our spouse's don't understand what we are going through. And, that's a reason to be here because we do understand.

Congratulations on 19 days of sobriety. Do you have a plan in mind to help keep you sober?

As soberwolf and Anna mentioned, a Plan is so vital to success.

Congrats on 19 days. I'm guessing your spouse is supportive but not in a way that is really helping. He may benefit from Al-Anon.

I know what you mean about your husband not understanding. I really think it's impossible for those who are normal drinkers. Being here helped ease my anxiety.
