Day 36 Update

Feeling okay on Day 36. Still trying to figure things out things concerning where and when I would like to sublet an office for my business, which would be an addition to the days I already sublet. I know it will take some time, and that I need to be patient. It was nice putting up xmas decorations with my husband on Monday. He has been treating me nicely ever since his tirade the evening before Thanksgiving. Sometimes during the day I miss the brief escape that alcohol can provide from reality, but I know that brief escape is not worth losing my family, career and sanity. So I guess I am still habituating to a life without alcohol, which often involves coping with and sitting through the dull and mundane parts of life.

Thank you all for your support. Just finished my run. It seems like I have my ups and downs. Sometimes I feel energized and refreshed, and other times I feel lazy and tired. As someone mentioned, just need to keep pushing through without drinking. So happy I have my 1.5 year old puppy. He is always so happy and is by my side 100% of the time. I actually aspire to be more like him. He finds such pleasure in the simplest things in life, and he is repulsed by alcohol and backs away from it!!! Getting him is one of the best things I ever did.
