Calm Thanksgiving on Day 30

Just got back from dinner with parents and husbands for Thanksgiving. They all had a couple drinks, and I just drank water. I did not miss it at all, probably because I was eating good food. Anyways, I am pleased that my Day 30 ended on a good note.

Congrats on day 30! I agree, it was wonderful to enjoy great food and company while sober today. Keep it up!

Great job! I was the only sober adult at our Thanksgiving, and I know I will feel better than everyone else tomorrow morning.

And I'm feeling better about choosing to move on from that sublet situation. I had put my schedule on a calendar in the office, and when I later asked if this was okay so that we can see each other's schedules (along with other people who sublet the same office) to avoid confusion, she simply responded, "No.". I'm sorry, but I just don't want to work with someone who has these types of punitive answers that I believe divide us further rather than help us work together. She could of at least offered an explanation why she did not want this or at least something. That was the final straw. Yes, she has the upper hand and authority since she is the one subletting to me, but that does not give her a right to take advantage of that power difference. Time to move on. Life is just too short.

Freedom, now you see it can be done! It's not fun to stand around a bunch of people who are drinking but you can get through it. 30 days is awesome!
