What Can I Expect In Smart Recovery Meetings?

I am planning on attending recovery meetings, I have NO idea what to expect. I have "only" been an alcohol for roughly four months, I know I need the help but feel my problems might seem small next to lifelong or long term alcoholics?

Is that silly? I'm sure that's silly of me.

Anyways just wondering what I can expect at these meetings. They are Not AA meetings but Smart Recovery.

Hi Vivien,

No experience myself but I've never heard a bad word about it...they seem very inclusive :)

You might like to also check the Secular Connections forum as well?

I go to SMART meetings in my area. I LOVE them. We usually start with introductions, and then open discussion. There are alot of musicians that come to mine. I love that. There is so much laughter. We share our stories and laugh through the pain. I hope you go.
