60 days today & Thanksgiving
 

Thanks all for answering my 59 day post the insight and wisdom and response here has absolutely helped me remain sober for Two months now and I do appreciate the support and advice, So THANK YOU all !!!
In recovery there's giving back and I feel the pain and anguish of many here also,Like I read in a thread of how a women was 7 days sober and not invited to her daughters thanksgivings day and she was going to be alone on the holiday. There's many things in life that bring us down and the temptation is to just numb the pain. But what's a life of being numb? I too will be alone, but with great allies like my pets! I'm simply cooking a turkey breast and getting into the holiday abit myself, semi pathetic I know but like they say if you get lemons make lemonade! That's what sobriety at 60 days does for me...it accentuates the positive and let's me realize Thanksgiving is just a fun day off it's importance maybe in the title "Thanksgiving" On that Note I am VERY Thankful! Whatever day your having tomorrow be thankful, if you look hard we all should be. I just wanted to share I certainly am.

It's not pathetic at all. In fact, just the opposite, it's a sign of strength that you are planning an enjoyable Thanksgiving for you and your pets.
