Im Back (again)...
Quit for 82 days two yrs ago. A prelude to today.
Looking back at my journal I keep from 2015. Every other entry was "I drank AGAIN...hungover- regret " entry.
It has literally FINALLY "hit me" that I either STOP or live a life of regret.
My plan is to :
Not stop and see Bob at the local gas station who greets me as the "beer guy" when I enter.
Come here as I need for support.

That's a start. But your plan needs bolstering. Dee is always posting a thread about recovery plans. I think if you read around the site, you'll see it.
When you do, read it.

What doggonecarl said. Expand your plan and learn some coping skills for the situations where you may be around alcohol. Do not look too far out - just focus on the day at hand and get to the next day...repeat.
We are here - so post often.

An interesting observation I have is that many (well meaning) people weather it be here on this forum or just in life respond with "advice" or "this is what you should do" statements, when I actually simply stated my intention to stop drinking ...and my methods to do so. I am finding that as a turn off to me ...Ive learned that " Unsolicited advice is criticism " .
