First step is the hardest... hey all, long time lurker and been reading tons of of inspirational posts of yours that decided to join and be part of sober people because I'm getting really lonely and need support. I just don't know how to ask for help and don't wanna be a burden or complain, I guess drugs masked my anxiety that now I have a hard time with self-worth. have to visit my counselor too. I have quit opiates 3 weeks ago, after (oh so many failed attempts) and this time I seriously need to get my life in order and quit for good (hopefully). I want a sober life more than anything this time. Donn't know what to say more, just reaching out I guess. Thanks for reading :) All the best to all of you. |
Congratulations on 3 weeks of recovery! That's terrific. I am glad you're seeing a counsellor, and yes, you may need to make lifestyle changes to support your recovery. I'm glad you decided to post. |
