The problem with texts is they are one dimensional. You can't hear the joy and delight behind "get the picture" For me, it would depend on the friend as to how I'd have read that. It also depends on your frame of mind at the moment.
Regardless, your feelings were hurt. Glad you worked it all out. It may become your favorite inside joke with her down the road.
Having more than one person to call is probably a good idea. Congrats to you on day 23 :-)
