1 year - it works, it really does Dear SR, I'm happy to report today marks 1 year of continous sobriety for me. What a journey it has been! It took me almost of a year of intense (re)searching, trial and error, before I finally found my path to recovery, which today is an intense 12 step work in AA, steadily supported by a whole spectrum of smaller, ongoing projects: sports, nutrition, self care, psychotherapy, DBT, socializing with wonderful, like minded people, expanding my interest in spirituality and of course the place where it all started for me - SR. Recovery is definitely in the centre of my life, but my life does not revolve around recovery - I have a fullfilling career and family life that I never dreamt possible - all thanks to my sobriety and my program. I wish I could find the right words to transmit how infinitely better my life has become. All I will say is - never, ever give up. If I can do it - so can you. There is hope and there is redemption. If you are a still sufferring alcoholic I pray for you every single day and if our paths ever cross, I'd be honored to share my Experience, Strength and Hope, as I'm a firm believer that it all starts with one alcoholic talking to another. Thank you for being here 24/7. Thank you for my sobriety. Love to you all :grouphug: Anna - Happy, Joyous, Free |

Love the post!! Congratulations! I feel much the same as you, at just shy (2 days) of 9 months. I am excited for the future, too. Best to you as you start your second year!! |
Congrats! Great post, it goes to show that there's not necessarily a one-size-fits-all approach to sobriety but if you want to quit there is a way!:scoregood |
