25 days and counting. Every time I think about slipping I come here. I don't always post, sometimes reading is enough. the one thing I do know is I wouldn't be sober if I hadn't come here. might not even be breathing if I'd had another bad fall. I was lucky, never drove, didn't die, kept my job...all in all, I guess I've has it relatively easy. But no one here ever tried to tell me that. or that it would be easy. you told it from the heart. Gave me the support to end the spiral and the abusive relationship with me. Some days are easier than others, still miss the tastes but not the numb brain or blackouts. Someone here advised spicier food, it helps! Amazing how good tastes when your tongue isn't numb.
