How do you celebrate?

I think we all know what we normally did to celebrate something good.

But even if we are no longer drinking, we should still celebrate our accomplishments!

So how do you do it? Non-alcoholic drink? Favorite food? Etc etc

Good food and I'll rent/buy a movie. Not a lot of originality at my domicile!

Would probably cook myself a big fat juicy steak dinner (drool) after buying myself something new but probably unnecessary for the house...rock and roll :-)

I celebrate almost everything with a nice dog walk. We all enjoy getting outside and exercising and I always feel good when we come home.

I had to re-evaluate what "celebrate" means. When I drank, I could (and would) celebrate anything. But everything doesn't deserve celebration. Sure, I celebrate anniversaries, birthdays, holidays...but I don't celebrate weekends, or accomplishments, or my team winning, or the other excuses I used to pour a drink down my throat.

Now, if I must celebrate, I use cake!

I'm with Snazzy - I love buying something new when I feel I have earned it. I used to be a retail junkie and buy lots of expensive shoes, bags and clothes I did not need. It was a part of my inability to deal with real life. I almost need to be dragged to the shops these days but if I have an intention to go out and buy something particular that is very nice, it can be a satisfying way to celebrate an achievement.
