Well if I can make it thru Las Vegas sober than I can make it thru anything 
I signed up for a half marathon months before I got sober. I have 4.5 months sober and was a little nervous coming but I didn't drink! Halfway thru my run I dreamed about the free beer they give you at the end but I was tired and defeated. I'm serious about staying committed to sobriety and doing life a different way than what I am used to! I hope everyone stays the course because it IS POSSIBLE and it is worth it. You can get to a point where alcohol doesn't control your life. I have calmed down quite a bit and don't feel so anxious and ready to get where I'm going to drink. The person I came with told me my energy is calmer and I'm not so rushed and on the go. When you don't have a drink to get to you basically can go with the flow and be present
