Why would you say that you drink?
First, like everyone it was curiousity. As a young teen seeing my family drink and knowing that kids at school already did made me want to try it myself. The first time I ever drank I loved the way it took the edges off reality and freed me from a nagging anxiety I had (anxiety from being bullied). This contined through most of my adolescence. I drank to numb my feelings and to be able to talk to people. I drank because I thought it was the cool thing to do. Then a lot of bad things happened and I realized it is the opposite of cool. I'm so relieved its over and I never have to drink again. I'm in control of my body and decisions now, and I sure as hell don't miss the crippling hangovers and inevitable regrets!
