Relapsed and revising game plan

Hi everyone - Well, after three days of drinking since last Friday, I could definitely see that freight train coming again and have recommitted to sobriety. I realize I need to add more tools to my plan (in addition to a sober coach and therapist) so I'm going to an AA meeting tonight at 5:30 pm that is 25 minutes of meditation followed by discussion. I like this group because it's small and more relaxed than the round robin format. I've realized that I need to be continually reviewing what's working for me and when I need more help. I also need to post before drinking.

I really want to be able to post this time next year that I'm 1 year sober - I'm tired of being sick and tired of drinking.

Sounds like a great start BeanieBaby, hope the meeting goes well. I hope you are able to post about 1 year too, but for now just worry about today, it's a lot easier to take it one day at a time!

You may also want to try Big Book meetings. It worked much better for me going to meetings that stayed grounded in the AA book.

Glad to see you and welcome back!

Your plan for today sounds great. I know that I did open discussion meetings at firsts, almost entirely and about 82 in 90, and since then I have found others I like in both format, location and group members. The good news is there are lots out there and if you keep going you can learn a lot from ones that feel most comfortable (my home group) and others with very different make-ups etc.

Don't drink today. Repeat tomorrow. Keep repeating! You can do it!

Hi Beanie Baby,

Welcome back! Sounds like you have a good plan for today. Take a look back over Dee's link about plans, and read around a little to see what else you may want to add.

❤️Delilah
