7 days sober

Well 7 days sober is not a huge accomplishment, but for me and how I've been the for the last several months it is huge! I'm taking it day by day and minute by minute. I feel really good and very positive. I really want to beat this thing! I've been reading self help books during my spare time and I've been exercising to help get rid of stress. (And believe it or not it works lol) I've been spending time outside enjoying the fall weather, which is my favorite time of the year. I've been taking vitamins and using essential oils. One new thing that I've been doing, that may sound silly, is self hypnosis. It's a book I've had on my kindle called Instant Self-Hypnosis. I'm not actually hypnotizing myself, like in a trance. I'm relaxing and really focusing for about 20 minutes and putting positive thoughts in my head. It's very relaxing. It’s helping me to feel like I have some control, that I don’t have to have the alcohol, kinda like I’m freeing myself from it somehow. I have an appointment with a Dr. in 2 weeks and will probably start counseling after that. I’m finally back on the right path and it feels good!

Great job! I think exercise does help by the way. When I put in the effort to work out every day or so, I start paying more attention to what I eat or drink. Keep at it!

Thanks everyone! Exercise does wonders when I'm feeling frustrated. And I can actually go to sleep at night from being tired instead of passing out. I've really put my body thru the ringer the last past few months from drinking. I want to try to get healthy and maybe undo some of the damage I've done to my body over the years from alcohol. Physically and mentally..... Thanks guys for your support!

Brain transplants aren't currently available.

Till then, removing FALSE BELIEF is best.

I now realize . . . . . I DON'T NEED BAD !

That flips the switch for me.
