I'm new and scared too. But I'm trying to be grateful and less afraid. Thank God I'm sober today. What scares me more is another blackout. Congrats, it does feel scary, I know. But also feel like freedom?

when I got sober I felt the same way. I had no clue what life whithout alcohol was going to be like and didn't think it could be possible to have fun sober.

something that kept me working on learning a new way of living was another fear and uncertainty- that of a life with alcohol still in it.
It was only going to get worse.

We understand - its very very normal to feel those things - I felt the same when I joined but the wonderful community here really helped me turn my life around. It was such a relief to find people who understood :)
