One Week & Small Victory
 

*****! Back to a week sober a little while ago. I went to help a friend with a project tonight, and as we were working, his wife came out with some cold beers for us. (This friend and his wife aren't heavy drinkers; she was just being polite.)

That beer looked really, really tasty and refreshing. I wasn't really even much of a beer drinker, but dang, it looked great! I politely declined. And guess what? Neither my friend nor his wife cared! We just went about our business on his project. It's hard for me to fathom that others don't care if I don't drink, but apparently, they don't.

Tonight was a good night, and I am looking forward to waking up refreshed and without regret tomorrow. Have a wonderful sober weekend, everyone!
