Day 16 is done. The weather in upstate NY is absolutely perfect AAAANNNDDDD that's a trigger for me, AAANNNNDDDDD so is a nice bike ride home from work......SSSOOOOO, I've been "playing the tape forward, and it really helps, as does reading all the posts on SR. Even if the drinking were to go perfectly (4-6 beers, lots of sleep, no hangover), that would make me falsely confident that I can drink normally, which I can't, and the next time or time after that, the shame, guilt and self-loathing would come from losing control, and who knows, maybe a new bottom. I cannot drink normally or safely. Anyway, stomach full of poptarts and ice cream, I'm off to bed, happy to be sober.

Day 16 is great. I'm glad you see that you 'might' get away with it once or twice, but that you know for sure it would not last. That was a hard lesson for me to learn.
