1 week celebration

Week one. I am more of a binge drinker and I don't have the urge to drink every day, but since I decided for alcohol to not be a part of my life anymore this is something I'm proud of. Mostly because I shut my AV today! I was invited to a dinner at my friends house and I have the urge to drink secretly before that, I had many chances to do it but I said NO, I'm not going this way, this will not bring me close to the person I want to be. I can take charge of my emotions and feelings. I want to be aware, I want to be conscious, I don't want to numb my real self, no matter that I think I will talk more, or I will be more freely, open and fun. They were drinking wine, but since I stoped myself already at home I have no more urges to the end of the night.
Anyway I just wanted to share my small victory today.
Today I am closer to the person that I want to become.

Good going! I think a big part of the battle is getting used to what riding the urge and overcoming it feels like. Every time you do it you get stronger.
