Even though I have 22 days AF the URGES were stronger than ever this week-end. Walk in the grocery store: BAM wine display right at the entry. Could taste the Merlot and smell it and feel the warm sensation in my belly. I know eventually with time I feel nauseated when I see or smell alcohol. I can't wait until that happens. The man behind me in line has 4 big Fosters and I just blurted out, Fosters is great beer. Then I was like, why did you say that out loud. Of course social media can be the devil and it's all over. So I chugged my raspberry Soda water and the mental craving went away because the carbonation gave me the burn I was looking for I guess.... Thankfully I didn't act on my urges or triggers. I'm pissed that they still exist. Thankfully I have a SMART meeting tonight. Take care have a great week.

Maybe it's a good idea to back away from social media for a while - and to make an effort to avoid places where you know there'll be alcohol or drinking?

I don't look at that as running away or avoiding the problem - I think staying sober is really hard and I think we all deserve all the help we can get

Later you'll grow those 'sober muscles' and you can go anywhere and do anything with anyone
