3 day without alcohol
Hello,
I have stopped drinking for the past 3 days.
I have been drinking for about 6 years. I've never been a 24hr. Drinker but I do drink about 6 tequila shots a day or an equivalent of 375mil.
In the past three days I've been experiencing bloading, cramps, a burning sensation in my upper stomach, sweating at night, dark thoughts and today on day 3 itchiness.
Has anyone experience this symptoms? Will they go away with time? Is this part of the alcohol withdrawal? Is it possible for my stomach to develop dependency to alcohol and it is acting up because of it.
Now that I'm researching all the different ways in which alcohol is harmful to the body, I regret not opening my eye to the sad truth.
Any responses will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Luigidc
I certainly had all those things the times I quit..but withdrawal is so unpredictable it's really not possible to fore-guess what might happen for you or indeed any of us.
I would usually find I'd start to feel much better by day 4...but the dark thoughts and the cramps might be something you should get looked at by a Dr, if you're concerned?
You'll find a lot of support here - welcome

I am on day 10, and I had all of those symptoms. The itchiness and night sweats were the worst. It's getting better day by day. But if you are concerned, I would talk to your doctor. Perhaps they would have some suggestions on how to make the withdrawals a little more comfortable for you.
Congratulations on three days.
I experienced some of the same symptoms. Especially after a night of tequila drinking.
Pouring flammable liquids into the body can produce all kinds of ramifications.
If your symptoms continue I would see a doctor and be brutally honest about your drinking.
But three days is great. Keep it up, and I hope your symptoms disappear, it only gets better with sober time.

Warm welcome to SR, 3 days is great. Stick with it because everything really does get better and easier, and you don't want to do those 3 days again I'm sure.
As others have said, check with the doctor to be safe.
