Day 2 36 hours in...

The first day seemed rather easy after going to the ER at 6am for extreme anxiety, got meds took them and felt great all day like nothing happened. I take 0.5mg of Lorazepam each 8 hours which helps with withdrawal symptoms. Slept great got 8 hours, woke up dismorning feeling a bit sick but not to bad. Took my pill, ate some food. Been reading through other stories all morning. At this point I feel very tired, a bit confused, very fuzzy thinking, took me 5 minutes to figure out how many hours I have been sober. Thinking the 0.5mg of Lorazepam should have been a bigger dose. I hoping to get through this day maybe ill sleep through it if I can. No real symptoms of withdrawal expect the fuzziness and a small bit of anxiety I guess.

Pretty normal to feel fuzzy for a while after quitting. I know I did. I didn't use benzos, though, so if you're concerned, check with your doctor. Glad you got through that first rough day and that you're doing better!

Sounds like what you're feeling is pretty normal. Ativan is strong stuff and makes me really wonky....which isn't a bad thing when detoxing. If you're concerned talk with the dr.

The first few days are difficult, but it's good you've been to the ER and got checked out. Hang in there and things will get better.

Good for you! I took those for a few days. They definitely helped me. It is odd to feel sober! It actually took a while (as in a week or two) to get used to that. Keep the momentum going.
