I am not new to SR but again trying to obtain the peace of long term abstinence. I go from weeks to months of sobriety but can't seem to maintain. I am very frustrated, very depressed and in some deep place very determined. My job makes meetings difficult if not impossible. My isolationism keeps me without adequate support. I am going to try to take a page from frickaflip(?) and post at least a word everyday. Might work. I thank you all for being here. I have read many of your posts over the years and when it gets tough they bring me comfort and strength. Again....Thank you. I will try not to bore you to death and in time maybe I can help someone too. Today is day 3. Again.

irishish. I'm in the same boat, back on day 2. Just like you I'm determined. I'm going to check in here every morning to set my mind strong before I begin my days and as a guide to keep me on track. A lot of great support here. Dee and FreeOwl are proof it can be done.

Hi Irish,

Posting here every day has been the biggest part of my recovery plan. I also joined a while ago, and 2016 has been my first completely sober year, life has been much better without alcohol.

I will be looking for your posts each day.

Hi Irishish, glad you are here. Congrats on your decision to pursue sobriety, I have faith you can do it. So many have. It is not always easy but as you mentioned determination will get you through.
