Introducing myself
Hi everyone -new to this site. just want to Introduce myself.. I'm 27 years old and 26 days sober today. Been struggling with alcoholism for about 5 years, heavily. Currently in AA, have a sponsor working the steps. Had my first huge breakdown last night. I cried and am angry at myself that I just cannot enjoy alcohol like others my age... it's going to be a journey so just want to have as much support as I can and I'm here to do the same for others.

i had a huge breakdown at a year sober and got thrown into a locked psych ward
then i got a sponsor and worked the steps

Your emotions are understandable in these early days of sobriety. I felt very sorry for myself for a while, and filled with regret. As my new, healthy life of freedom from alcohol took over, all the negative feelings left me. You will get there.
