1 month

1 month sober today guys. For the last damn time. God knows i've been here many times but I need to stay on top of the game this time. I'm not going back to that dark place. I think Paws has got a bit of a hold on me because i'm feeling exhausted even after having slept 8 hours. Any tips on how to beat it?

Love you guys x

1 Month is fantastic Dim!!

For me even after a few months I still would feel pretty tired, but it did ease with time as my sleep became more regular and my body healed more and more!!

One month sober is terrific.

PAWS isn't really a disease, but a group of symptoms that seem to affect some people in recovery. Your best bet is to talk to your dr if the fatigue continues. Keeping a good balance in your life should help, too.

Congrats on a month Dim

I think it's pretty common - I wouldn't even ascribe it to PAWs.

I was pretty tired for the first 30 days - I really underestimated the toll my drinking had taken on my body, I think?

It got progressively better - I hope your fatigue will too.

Like Anna says tho, if you're concerned see your Dr

I have some PAWS at 17 months clean.

I slept about 6 hours last night. That is good for me. I took 2 naps today. 20 minutes...while watching tv. One before the gym and one after.

If you can...enjoy naps. They are relaxing.

For me, PAWS is a motivator to not drink because it has gotten better each day. I never want to experience that hell on earth again

At this point my PAWS may be experiencing life normal and am not used to it.

I drank pretty hard for the last 15 years.

My current symptoms are minor obsessive thoughts, anxiety, and spacey feelings sometimes.

Really used to be so much more. I was living in a mental horror show for a good while.

Physically, I have been working out since before I quit. My health seems solid. My son told me I was buffed this morning. That felt great.

So stay clean. Change up your life to be content sober.

Thank you.

A whole month - how wonderful, dim. It's still early days yet - I was exhausted too for about the first 3 months. You are healing & regaining your strength. You will get there.
