This is a little off topic but some might find it interesting.
There is a movie that just came out called "Fall seven times, get up eight." It's about the young Japanese women that married American service men just after World War Two and spent the rest f their lives in the States.

Happy Almost Friday Weekenders!
I am definitely looking forward to the weekend. This week has been busy at work all day, and night meetings for work, and as a volunteer at my daughter's theater.
Thinking about the theme of resilience I find myself thinking about my financial situation. I am in the process of making changes to have a positive impact in this area, although the next two weeks I am on a tight budget! I have. Allan for getting out of debt, although it will take a while. This week I found out I will be getting a raise, it should kick in for my December paycheck, and then I will get a retro check in the spring for the months of July-November. Also, we are hoping that my husband will be starting a new job in a few weeks, and he will have a decent salary bump, which is good because he dealt with unemployment last year, and when he was offered a position had to take a pay cut.
I hope we are on the right track to deal with all of this.

Been quiet. Off work and soooo darn relaxed this weekend. Heading to Bradbury mountain later to see the leafs. Have you been? I usually go to baxter once a year as well but that sharp hike up sucks sobradbury's milder slop is more inviting today. Supposed to be a nice one.

Bradbury should be absolutely gorgeous this weekend. Don't forget to take a pic from the top. I think that's an unwritten rule that a picture must be taken from the rock that overlooks all the trees.

Today is day 1 for me - NOOOO, I didn't relapse. I'm quitting smoking. Wish me luck! So far, so good. A bit anxious this morning when I would normally light up, but it passed. I had my last cig at about 6 last night. I had planned to quit Sunday, but I ran out and thought - why not start now?

MB, congratulations on your fourth anniversary. That is a magnificent accomplishment!

I suggested that co worker Dizzee might be replaced by a robot. Co worker Dizzee suggested that I might be replaced by a human. 1 nil to the Dizzmeister I think but hey ho the weekend starts now
