Stressed and triggered, Matthew coming straight at us
I live on the East Coast of South Florida. Just got back from the store. Pure madness, there is no calm before the storm. Bought plenty of drinks, had to force myself away from the wine. House is black, shutters on everything. We have a generator but can't get a started. Something mechanical is wrong. We are going to lose power, news says this area could be catastrophic. Stressed beyond belief.
Yesterday was 100 days for me.
I will not drink. I am dying to but i won't. I have non-benzo anxiety meds.
It is supposed to start tropical activity around 3, hurricane force by 9.

If we lose power we can go to my sister in Tampa, unless we luck out and find a hotel. Worst problem is that we live in a marina, right by the water. It will flood. Have flood insurance, but still.

Good luck with everything , sending good thoughts and vibes , the gulf sounds nice this time of year 
Sandy got us , I think it was 8 days no 'tricity, I remember driving to various relatives houses for showers and such, good luck, hunker down good ( and don't forget to breath, you got this )

I thought of you first thing this morning when I saw the news Lightning Bug. Sorry about the generator! It's good you have a place to go if you need to. I hope you'll be able to keep in touch with us during the storm. <3

You got this Bug. Living in Vermont I totally understand being triggered by a storm. Mine of course have been snow storms. Same type of thinking and madness. This whole situation will just get nuts if you drink so stay strong and take care of yourself and your loved ones.

From some of your earlier posts, I know that you have a family. They can help you, but they also depend on you in turn. When it is all over, and it will be, you will see that if you can face a hurricane stone cold sober, you can face anything stone cold sober.
