Agreed! Complexity is almost always a trick of the mind, and when it isn't the solution to complex problems is generally just a bunch of simple steps combined.

Agreed overthinking can lead to stinking thinking. Keeping it simple all the way! 😏

Some might be thinking why the curt post with 3 words ! well the past week for me has been the most challenging time not just since my sobriety date 11 May 16 but for years . I could easily have picked up a drink but I didn't and won't . The issues I am dealing with are all to do with illness with family members and a criminal issue with oldest son . I was beside myself with worry over the later then one day I just sat down with head in hands and said" Ive had enough ,walk away" and I did . I needed to detach and look after me or else I was going to do something silly . I said the serenity prayer which is my avatar and decided to apply the AA mantra " keep it simple "

Thanks and God Bless

Oh, this is ever such a good reminder for me.
I am the master at over-complicating, over-analyzing and over-thinking.
And it is a great recipe for failure.
Thanks for the post.

What's the old saw: "Paralysis through analysis"?

When you overthink...

I understand this and in many ways I'm very often lately, stuck in this same situation. Haven't been finding it to be easy but, concentrating on God, keeping it simple, with the occasional use of the serenity prayer as you know helps.

7:22AM and I have a new game plan for today.
Thanks for reminding me to keep them simple.

Hang tight and stay sober,
M-Bob
