Back again

So, I've been on and off of this site for years now and can't stay sober. This time I'm gonna stay close (feel embarrassed posting this) but gonna stay around. I've been drinking all day everyday for a while and can't even smile anymore. Awful. Anyone who is new on here or a veteran I wish you all the best. I'm gonna do my best to keep posting daily and thank you all for this site.
Brett

Hi Brett, I've just posted here for the first time and am at that point where I need to be in contact with others fighting the same battle. I will follow your progress and wish you the same strength and determination I need to fight this pointless and debilitating addiction.

Welcome back mbrett! You CAN do this..... Don't beat yourself up too bad and don't be embarrassed. Many and most of us have failed at quitting more than we can count. Just don't stop trying, learning more about your addiction and applying in any way you can, the tools people here give you to get and help keep you (and me) sober and recovering!

So good to see you back, Brett. I like your plan to stay close. Never feel embarrassed - we've all been where you are. We're here to encourage you & help you heal. You can do it.

Good luck! I'm also new on here and I posted today for the first time. I was embarrassed to post too but I feel better now that I did. Best of luck to you!

Welcome back, stay close. You can do this. I won't lie, its not easy, but it is completely worth it. Living in alcohol jail is the worst.

Welcome back Brett. I think sticking close is a great idea. It sure helps me stay focused on staying sober and gives me strength, courage, hope everyday. I also learn something new here everyday that I can put in my recovery toolbox.

For those that posted above for the first time... welcome its nice to hear from you.

Welcome back Brett!!! I have almost nine months sober, but joined SR in 2012, it took me a while to finally get it right. I have logged in and posted/read every day since January 1st, and SR has been one of the biggest parts of my recovery.

Definitely join the September class, Dee posted the link. Also, pop in to the 24 hour thread every day, it is a very supportive group!

Looking forward to seeing you on here!

I like the quote "living in alcohol jail". That is exactly what I have been doing, and need to free myself. Thanks for posting that.

Brett, you are taking steps in the right direction. One day at a time… hang in there👍 no one is perfect, I messed up yesterday and had a drink but recognize the mistake and making today better. Small steps are better than no steps at all.
