Day 20 Freak Out....
Like clockwork, this is about the time I typically give in and drink. Thankfully, I'm on the antabuse so that option is off the table.
I start 6 week IOP on 10/3. Before that I have to go to NYC for a work trip sober (a first for that) where everyone else will be drinking.
Nothing major, just a little freak out- I'm sure many of you can relate to. I find the fellowhip of these pages to be helpful. Nobody ever said this would be easy...

Congrats on 20 days! Glad you came here to try and talk it through rather than the alternative....reaching out for help when you need it is very important.
Regarding your trip, try and plan activities for yourself that don't involve drinking outside of your actual work. While it might seem like you "have to" join in the fun with everyone else after the days' work is done, It's perfectly acceptable to do something on your own. And heck, you are going to be in NYC....there are pretty much limitless things to do and see that don't involve alcohol at all.

Update
Day 26... Made it through a 3 hour open bar last night, sober. Drank 2 club sodas and went back to the hotel. Felt great this morning.
Start IOP on Monday, ready to get after it.
